The Karnataka Interstate Migrants Alliance for Transformation (KISMAT— a BREADS’ project) conducted an awareness programme on health and hygiene for migrant workers in Saraipalya, Bangalore on 10 November 2022. The KISMAT team distributed masks to the migrants who hailed from Uttar Pradesh. The migrants were engaged in activities like carpentry and painting in different parts of Bangalore.
The session started with an introduction to KISMAT’s services for migrant workers, along with the distribution of pamphlets. It continued with an awareness class on how to keep healthy and maintain good hygiene to prevent all kind of sickness and diseases. Around 31 migrants who participated in the programme, were happy to learn about the support and services extended by KISMAT.
