“Children of today will make the world of tomorrow”- Jawaharlal Nehru
Childhood is a blessing and the most fun-filled phase of life. In this spirit of fun and joy, Children’s Day was celebrated on 13 November 2022 at Don Bosco Sneha Bhavan, Palluruthy, along with 600 children and the staff. The Children’s Day programme, and an exhibition by the Kochi DREAM team was inaugurated by Fr Stefano Martoglio sdb (Vicar General, Salesians of Don Bosco, Rome).
The children who excelled in their academics were awarded with trophies during the function. The day was a memorable and fun-filled one for the children. They were unstoppable as they engaged in the organised games and activities, playing to their hearts’ content. Around 1000 people participated in the programme arranged for the whole day.
The art exhibition on the theme ‘Say No to Drugs’ organised by the Kochi DREAM staff, was also a big attraction during the day. Around 150 drawings by children were exhibited along with the DREAM campaign posters. The team also arranged individual activities and photo sessions on the same theme. The children were invited to pledge with their handprints that they would not ever use drugs in their lives. It was a most enjoyable day for the children, with a message to remind them to enjoy life while saying No to drugs!
