Peenya Industries Association (PIA) along with Don Bosco Tech (DB Tech) and Siemens Industry Software, India (SISW) has partnered to form Peenya Advance Centre for Excellence (PACE) to address key issues in Peenya Industrial Area like the non-availability of skilled manpower, limited capital and knowledge, lack of access and low adoption of suitable technology and low production capacity.
The inauguration of this great venture was held on 15th May at Peenya Trade Centre Conference Hall, The centre was inaugurated by Mr. Jorn Rohde, The Consul General, Germany Consulate, at the formal function in the presence of Mr. D T Venkatesh, President Peenya Industrial Association, Fr. A M Jose, Executive Director, Don Bosco Tech Society, Mr, Suman Bose, MD Siemens Industry Software India and other dignitaries.
Speaking on Skill Development and Training in India Fr. A M Jose highlighted the demographic divide in skill training and catostrop it can create if skill training is not addressed. In China training is provided in 4000 skills as compared to just 300 in India. He focused Don Bosco Tech role in skilling India and partnering with likeminded persons and organisation is this great mission.
As India’s new Government looks at reforms to boost industrial growth, the MSME industry has emerged as one of the critical segments to address issues in terms of skill development, employment growth and manufacturing output. PACE is a possible center that can find solution to the needs of the industry.
