Women Empowerment through Livelihood and Entrepreneurship (WELivE) programme by BREADS Bangalore in association with the Integrated Development Society Alappuzha, organised an entrepreneurship expo with its members from 5 different wards in Alappuzha district. A total of 104 women participated in the event, of whom, 18 were individual entrepreneurs and 39 were group entrepreneurs from various self-help groups. The women exhibited homemade products such as pickles, coconut oil, garments, candles, etc., manufactured by them either individually or as a group.
The expo was followed by an interactive session on ”Tips to become Successful Entrepreneurs” by Fr. Thomas Meckattuparambil SDB (Rector, Don Bosco Alappuzha). The participants also presented their activity reports during the meeting. This unique opportunity provided the women entrepreneurs to connect and create plans to accelerate their business growth.
