BREADS has strived over the years to create a gender-diverse workplace that is both sensitive and welcoming. The BREADS’ WE-AUTO project is an example of bringing women to the forefront of society, assuring them a sustainable income and thereby promoting their sense of self-worth and identity.
The second phase of the WE-AUTO project, which provides electric autos to the fisherwomen belonging to the coastal area of Kollam, was inaugurated on November 6, 2021, by Mr. R. Sharath Chandran (Joint RTO, Kunnathoor, Kollam). The keys of the e-autos were handed over to two women by the dignitaries, who included Fr. Rubin Mathew (Executive Director, BREADS), Fr. Joby Sebastian (Director FCDP), Mr. Benny Augustine (Project Manager, BREADS), and Dr. Sindha H. Mendez (Chairperson, FCDP).
