Don Bosco Bidar has been supported by Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiative (APPI) Bangalore, and Organisation of Bidar Integral Transformation (ORBIT), Humnabad, Bidar, Karnataka, to conduct Covid relief activities across the Bidar district.
APPI helped procure 1000 food kits which were distributed to migrant labourers, slum dwellers, daily wage workers, domestic workers, sex workers, cleaners, transgender people, disabled and lepers, widows, the elderly, auto drivers, primary school teachers, and HIV positive patients in Bidar. The food kits consisted of rice, dal, oil, salt, wheat, sugar, spice packets, and tea powder. The distribution was done in the presence of Mrs. Gangadevi, the tahsildar of Bidar taluk, who highly appreciated this initiative.
