Fishermen Community Development Programme (FCDP) organized a one day workshop on organic farming and kitchen gardening on 30 December 2020 under the Project WELivE (Women Empowerment through Livelihood and Entrepreneurship). Ms. Nimina S, the resource person explained the participants about potting soil, types and preparation of organic manures, organic pesticides and culturing methods. The workshop aimed at training women on organic methods of cultivating vegetables minimum for their self sufficiency. The 22 participants expressed their gratitude for being a part of the workshop which enriched their knowledge on possibilities of becoming self reliant on cultivating vegetables. The workshop served as an eye-opener to number of possibilities towards cultivating fresh and safe vegetables free from harmful chemicals and pesticides.
