Today the world has achieved progress relatively in all the fields, the scientific and technical advancements have helped to touch the greater heights. This is one side of the story and on the other side the empowerment of women in the society still suffers and is suppressed. The awareness level has become minimal and in a state where no one cares. Under these circumstances every bit of information that is passed on to the other makes a great difference. CHITHRA Don Bosco, Chitradurga organized a legal awareness programme for the PUC students of BCM hostel, Jogimati road, Chitradurga on 8th January 2019 under the project “Capacity Building for Gender Equality in Development, Peace and Security”. The training aimed at bringing substantial changes at awareness level of the young minds. Ms. Dilshad, Penal Advocate, District Legal Services, Chitradurga was the resource person for the training. The topics covered in the training were gender equality, legal assistance of women in cases of violence, child marriage and rights of women. While interacting with the students Fr. Sonychan, Director, CHITHRA Don Bosco, wished the young and energetic utilize every bit of information to lead a worthy and progressive future. The training concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr. Mahanthesh.
