CREAM, BOSCO, Bangalore formed Child Rights Club (CRC) at St. Philomena’s English High School, Railway colony, Bangalore on June 23, 2018. Welcoming the gathering, Vimala Rani, Social Activist, BOSCO CREAM Project, Bangalore, enlightened the children about UNCRC, Child Protection Mechanisms, necessity of CRC and roles and responsibilities of the members of the club. Mr. Ramaswamy, Coordinator, CREAM facilitated the election process and the selection of the President and Vice-President. Eleven boys and thirteen girls were elected as CRC members. Mr. Devaraj, Social activist, CREAM Project, conducted the training session. Duties of the President and Vice-president were briefed and the importance of taking up social responsibility was discussed. Hundred and sixty four high school students and two teachers of St. Philomena’s English High School participated in the programme.
