Don Bosco Hospet organized the two days production skill training for 52 SHG members on 19th and 20th of February 2018 aiming at empowering and sustaining rural women through self-employment and income generation initiatives. It encourages and promotes women to initiate small scale business units as a group in the villages leading them to better financial gains. Over the two days training the participants assimilated the knowledge about making of artificial ornaments, bangles, ear rings, different varieties of dolls and toys for children. During the training simplest methods and easily available raw materials were used to make the dolls which will definitely help to manufacture and procure resources effortlessly. The initiative is expected to make the women folk economically and socially self-reliant.
