Training on child rights was organized by CREAM team, BOSCO, Bangalore, for the children from BBMP Girls High School, Padarayanapura, GHPS Yediur, Morarji Desai Residential School, Chamarajpet, BBMP High School, Cottonpete, LR High School, Chamarajpet, Bangalore from 7th February to 17th February 2018. Mr. Ramaswamy, Coordinator, CREAM, BOSCO, Bangalore, Ms. Manjula and Ms. Vinnarasi, social activists, CREAM project, Mr. Shivamallu, Coordinator, Foster Care, Ms. Pushpa, tuition teacher, facilitated the sessions on UNCRC, child rights, need to promote foster care, child protection mechanisms, tips to face exams, the role of the civil society in providing care and protection to vulnerable sections of society.
Many children shared details of school drop outs and pledged to bring them back to school. The training was imparted to over eight-hundred students.
