On 20 September 2023, Don Bosco PYaR organised a parents’ meeting at the Government Higher Primary School, Ganajalkhed in Kalaburagi. Sixty-eight parents of children from three activity centres in the village, gathered to discuss children’s rights, the necessity of parental engagement in education, as well as government schemes and programmes accessible to students and their parents.

The activity centres are promoted by Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives (APPI) and Bangalore Rural Educational and Development Society (BREADS), to “Empower Children Through Education and Child Rights Promotion”.
The parents’ meeting is one of the activities to achieve its goal.
