Kahlil Gibran once said “The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind”.
Every year 5th of September is celebrated as Teachers’ Day, it is a great occasion to applaud the contributions and commitments of teachers towards the growth and development of the students. The 5th September is the birth anniversary of Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great teacher, scholar, philosopher, the President of India. In 1962 Dr.Radhakrishnan became the President of India; thereafter his birthday came to be observed as Teachers’ Day. To pay tribute to the teachers Don Bosco Yuva Marg, Ramnagara organized the Teacher’s Day at Government Higher Primary School, Melekote, Kanakapura taluk, Ramanagara district. The members of the Child Rights Clubs took the great initiatives to appreciate and accolade their great teachers. Children performed dances, songs, distributed gifts to the teachers, elevated highly their opinions about the teachers and made it a special memorable day.
