Human Rights Training for Social Workers and Community Organizers

BREADS conducted three batches of intensive Human Rights training in Bangalore and Hosapete, for 120 selected social workers and community organizers from various regions. The trainings focused on various aspects—human rights in general, child rights, and women’s rights—to strengthen the participants’ knowledge and their skills to advocate and defend these essential rights in their communities.

Experienced professionals with extensive expertise in human rights from renowned organizations such as Terre Des Hommes, UNICEF, Vihaan, SICHREM, and Mitra Foundation, shared their invaluable insights drawn from real-world advocacy and human rights defense, to greatly enrich the learning experience of the participants.

The trainings featured a well-rounded mix of classroom learning, interactive discussions, group activities and exposure visits for the participants that deepened their theoretical frameworks and the practical application of human rights principles. This initiative by BREADS has enhanced the skills and knowledge of our social workers enabling them to be more effective changemakers in their respective communities.
