DB BEST offers short-term skill training courses in retail management, business process outsourcing (BPO) and hospitality, intending to address the challenge of imparting skills required for a growing economy. Every batch at DB BEST is designed to focus on industry best practices and to provide competent training to the students.

AXA Business Services has been partnering with DB BEST for its CSR activities, since 2016. This year, AXA organised a series of events with DB BEST and BREADS to mark CSR week for its employees. On 2 July 2019, the students were educated on healthy internet and electronic gadgets’ use by Dr. Arun. K, Asst. Professor, National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) Bangalore and Dr. Sagayaraj, Professor, NIMHANS, Bangalore. The facilitators diligently explained the emerging social issues such as rise of cybercrimes, risks of internet, pornography and further damages that internet causes on individuals and the youth. Youngsters being more vulnerable to these risks, expert guidance is most useful in helping them overcome them. The pros and cons of internet, online shopping, overuse of internet and social media were scientifically explained through case studies. Dr. Arun further explained the concept of addiction and the five classifications of addictions by scientists, namely, knowledge addiction, chat addiction, addiction to games, financial addiction and sexual addiction. The youth are easily swayed and influenced by the visual attractions on the media and are thus diverted from their objectives in life. The youth were carefully trained on prevention of addictions and in developing healthy habits/ practices which could help them from being negatively impacted.

On 3 and 4 June 2019, BREADS put up stalls at AXA Business Services, at Manyata Tech Park and Ecopolis, Yelahanka, Bangalore.
